The Kanazawa Pride Week, now in its fourth year, will be held over three days from October 18 (Friday) to October 20 (Sunday), 2024. This year, a variety of events will be held to promote a deeper understanding of LGBTQ+ (sexual minorities), including the Pride Walk on Sunday, October 20, as well as film screenings, tea gatherings, and more.
The United Nations University Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability, Kanazawa Operating Unit (UNU-IAS OUIK), supports this initiative, which strives to create a community that respects diversity and allows everyone to live in safety.
On October 20 (Sunday), on the Pride Walk day, we will set up a “UNU Noto Reconstruction Support Booth” on the first floor of the Shiinoki Cultural Complex Building. At the booth, visitors can learn about OUIK’s past activities in Noto, view animations related to “Gottso Tsukuro,” and watch videos about Noto’s food culture.
We will also provide free booklets and picture books, so please stop by before the Pride Walk!
