Video Series “Meguru Niwa Kanazawa” Chapter 3: A Garden Connecting People

We have released Chapter 3, titled “A Garden Connecting People.”

Behind the beautiful gardens that have long been preserved in Kanazawa lies the struggle of maintenance and management. Various social issues, such as a declining birthrate, an aging population, and urban sprawl, intertwine with this situation, leading to a decrease in the number of such gardens each year.

On the other hand, there is a growing number of people engaging with gardens from new perspectives, such as through garden cleaning activities and tea ceremonies. This chapter focuses on gardens as spaces where people and nature intersect.

This video series has been created to raise awareness of the various benefits that urban gardens offer, including the conservation of biodiversity and the mitigation of climate change. You can also view Chapters 1 and 2 of this series in the link below.
