In the morning, Dr. Ivars from OUIK and professional gardener Mr. Nonoichi guided the students through Kenrokuen Garden, one of the three most beautiful gardens in Japan. The garden has many historical and traditional features which are all linked to Kanazawa’s geographic features.
After Kenrokuen Garden, the group visited OUIK, where the students gave presentations about their graduate research activities. The research themes ranged widely, including research on landscape surveys using drone technology, and research on the attractiveness of towns based on landscape analysis.
